Business of Class Actions 2027
1st edition of
Class Action Conference
A day of insights, networking, and strategic discussions bringing together Europe’s leading class-action experts, funders, consumer representatives, policymakers, economists, and practitioners in Porto.
Our goal
Business of Class Actions is a new conference for people working with collective redress, mass claims, consumer litigation, funding, enforcement, and related policy questions in Europe.
For the first edition, our goal is simple: build a focused programme, bring the right people into the room, and create space for practical discussion between lawyers, funders, economists, companies, associations, and public-sector voices.
What we’ll cover
Key themes
What makes collective actions succeed and where in Europe
Where collective actions fail and why
What it takes to get a collective action through certification
The role of economic analysis and data in building viable claims

Conference location
World of Wine
Perched on the south bank of the Douro River in Vila Nova de Gaia, World of Wine (WOW) is one of Porto’s most striking cultural districts, with sweeping views across the river to the historic Ribeira and the Luís I Bridge. Opened in 2021 within beautifully converted port-wine cellars, the 55,000 m² complex brings together seven museums, a dozen restaurants and bars, a wine school and dedicated event spaces — a fitting setting for a day of class-action discussion. It is roughly 25 minutes by car from the airport.
